A Look Around The City

In anticipation of the new beta release, which is coming very soon due to less complications than expected, I thought I would show you a few of the venues your sims will be frequenting:

Manhattan has everything a sim could need or want

Be it skyrise lounges for the richest of the rich

...Wine Shops

...Or just a nice place to get a bite.

Need to take rips off a bubble bong while sitting in front of a shark tank? Manhattan's not here to judge...

Perhaps, you don't yet have enough funds to live the life of opulence in The Greatest City In The World? You're in luck, for New York, as if a microcosm of America as a whole, affords a life of luxury as well as a life of uh...more modest means

Need a bar that's not going to empty your wallet?

Did you just get kicked out of the bars and now you need something to eat before you sleep it off ?

Of course, even Brooklyn has it's more charming areas

Need a place to rehearse for all those band gigs that never come? Check out Queensbridge Studios

Or maybe a little shopping before a big trip?

Perhaps you just need to get away from big city livin' for just a bit

Then come visit Coney Island where there's plenty of good food(?) and good fun to be had by all ages

While you're there, why not take in a good old-fashioned heart attac-er, uh Hot Dog Eating Contest at Nathan's World Famous

And from there, it's just a short drive to the Hampton's

I hope you've enjoyed your tour of New York City

  3. This will not kill your computer :) I play it on a very (and I stress very) average computer! I do though, use a free program called Game Booster, as well as an FPS limiter. They both go a long way in playing this game smoothly (regardless of the world)

    1. You should get Late Night. It's one of the best EP's anyways.

    1. Twallan (best modder in the sims community) has a mod that increases traffic (though it may hamper performance if you want NY style traffic)

And here's a mod that allows the city ambiance sounds to be placed on lots via an object:

Note that these mods MUST be updated with each patch.
